I love sunsets. When the angry little ball on the sky goes down, I can go to work without it being way too hot or bright for it, and it kinda looks nice too, yeah, I guess, phft

This is going to be the Scraven island, it’s kinda an opposite of Kizan; a plateau that rises over the sea, as opposed to being dropped into the depths, but you know, that kinda thing!

Scraven island is a fortress, it’s really hard to climb the steep cliffs to get to the savannah like biome above, and most of the traffic has to go through… *drum roll* …a literal fortress that has access to it. It is pretty much called as Fortress Island because of that, the Scraven control who comes and goes, and everyone else is left on the docks (or bottom of the sea before the docks, if they fly the dragon on the mast)

Cliffs on cliffs! I’m so *nobody* will try climbing these. Who am I kidding, I’m probably going to climb those first. If it looks impassable, there must be something interesting up there xD

While currently it’s just the biome we’re building, the native species of the island are going to be hyave’s, the yeens that make up most of the bulk of the Scraven fleet’s original founders. In addition to the hyave, we can finally add lions in to their native environment xD

Fun fact, lions have two Prides; the pride with one submissive male lion and bunch of dominant female lions who do all the work while the lazy male lion just being bitten until it mates enough, and the gay pride made from lion males driven away from the other pride ^^

I made some additional edits to the font, to make the readability better on lower resolutions. It probably doesn’t show too much, because I still want to keep the old fashioned typewriter style font, but a lot of the smaller letters that were breaking apart a bit, are made simpler and easier to read (hopefully!)

The current plant for tutorials are sort of a mini-game-guides that will trigger in locations that need tutorializing, and will then also be available in the logbook so you can peruse them later if need be, or just read in advance, if you like cute art <3

Ignore the mess on the back, this here in is / was our testing environment for shot scatter and drop ^^

Here in your current gun, the Stinger. It is supposed to be a very good rifle, and yeah, you start with basically the best basic gun in the game, but you’re a bit special in game lore anyways, circumstances being what they are ^^

You can see it has very little scatter, but has some drop at this range already.

Here is the scatter chart for Dart. It is a little less good. A cheap one shot service rifle almost every sailor has fired or uses. Now, you *can* get it, but it won’t be very good, and it uses the same ammo as Stinger does, so it’s not really a “positive” alternative.

Why would we make a weapon that’s worse than your starting gun? You see… if you want to make a realistic world, not everything should be balanced and have a reason to exist as a valuable alternative to each other. Not to mention, a lot of enemies later on will be using Darts, because it’s cheap, and it’s everywhere. Maybe someone will actually want to use Dart, it has it’s own flavor, the bad flavor xD

On the other hand, we have the Grunt, a single firing pistol. It is generally a navy officer weapon, much better make than the Dart. Much more accurate, but the shots don’t really travel far in comparison to a Stinger. Uses smaller darts, that are generally a bit cheaper, so it could make a good alternative gun for those who want to sneak a bit more before booping the cakes :3

And then… we have the Pathfinder.

It’s extremely accurate, it’s heavy, it’s cumbersome, it’s expensive to use, it’s unique… it’s unique, because there’s only one ever made.

It is our first “Great rifle”, so it uses those long and girthy darts you’ve probably mostly made profit on. I know I’ve always just sold them away, uhm x)
